Hockeysmith, sisters Georgie and Annie from the UK, have captured what amazing electro-indie should sound like and are producing it to fit through your headphones and force your eardrums to dance. Like they have a choice. Debut track "Let's Bang" opens with a bare-bones beat of simple guitar riffs, hazy melodies and dreamy vocals, before a drop in the track ramps the intensity and the song dives into full-blown layering beauty. It's rare to find a song bordering on seven minutes that doesn't seem to drag, but you'll find yourself hitting the repeat button again and again with this one. Take a listen below.
