It's been almost four years since HOCKEY's critically acclaimed debut album Mind Chaos. Unfortunately HOCKEY never made it up to Vancouver after the release of Mind Chaos. We have no idea why but what we can tell you is that they will but finally hitting up Vancouver this time around on Friday, August 2nd at the Biltmore Cabaret in support of their sophomore album Wyeth IS When everyone thinks about HOCKEY (the band, not the sport!), it is almost always their biggest single "Too Fake" that comes to mind. Go ahead and take a listen to it (below) if you don't remember it. It was also iconically sampled by Chiddy Bang... We don't want to be stuck in the past too much here because they are indeed touring in support of their newly released album Wyeth IS that was just released on May 7th. The album is led by the new single, "Love Is Strange" that see's the band back up to their old tricks of using off-kilter rhythms with breezy pop-laden vocal melodies.
