HIRA KING released what was easily one of the most intriguing demos of 2014 with "Run", an addictive, sub-two-minute affair that created quite a bit of buzz around the London-based artist. Now, the mysterious singer has returned with a brand-new single called "Hummingbird", and it's one showing brilliantly that he's not just a one-trick pony, but likely here to stay. To our great relief, HIRA's new song is longer than his first, and it also displays a new dynamic to his sound that's incredibly appealing. The electronically oriented piece is smooth and upbeat, and it grows increasingly pleasant as it progresses. Repeat listens will be in order, and really, from what we've heard from him thus far, we foresee HIRA fitting in quite nicely with the upcoming class of artists blending together electronic-soul and R&B sounds.
