One of our favorite French acts, Her, made waves with their sleek, sexy EP, Her Tape #1, that was released ten months ago. The duo's newest track here, however, "Queens", is a refreshing change of pace that adds to their repertoire that's fairly eclectic already. Her has created a sound here which borrows heavily from a rock influence, and there's really solid bass and some major electric guitar work that both mark a change of pace for the band. It shows a harder side of them that we have described as having an ethereal sound, yet, true to their artistry, they bring the element of sex appeal with some saxophone and their lyrics on the track. Altogether, the track is an upbeat one and awesome new venture for the act, and we are definitely looking forward to more from them ahead.
