If Henry Green's name looks familiar, then he most likely has Norwegian heavyweight producer Kygo to thank. The latter's remix of Green’s cover of the MGMT hit, “Electric Feel”, has amassed more than five million hits on SoundCloud since its release last year, and regardless what you thought of the interpretive work, it is hard to refute the boost that a large track such as it can provide for a young artist such as Henry Green. As we see here, it means that a wider audience has now the opportunity to experience the true genius of his solo work. As Green gears up to release his debut EP, Slow, we have been treated to his brand-new single, “Barcelona”, which we are proudly premiering for you today. Originally debuted live on the "BBC Introducing" series in January, “Barcelona” showcases the sheer excellence achieved in both songwriting and musical composition that we have seen develop through his previous works. The intriguing sense of space that Green has created, and the absorbing elements he calls upon to fill it, are intricate, innovative, and demonstrate a talent and class that is well beyond his years. They're all bottled up into his track here, fortunately, and we believe we don't speak alone when we hope for many more of the kind to come.
