Christmas can produce some of the most contrived, cringe-worthy music out there, and even though we're reluctant to listen to most kinds, we gave "Christmas Truce", a new track from Melbourne singer-songwriter Helena Plazzer, a chance, and it wasn't bad at all. The lyrics within are relatable especially for those going home for the holidays ("We're as different as can be / you like red and I like green / let's put aside our many conflicts / lets not talk beliefs or politics"), and Helena's own vocals letting them out are remarkable as well.
