When we came across “Miss America” by Head Of Sales, we found not only a track, but also an intriguing adventure within it. Sales’ SoundCloud bio provides us with next to nothing, stating that it's an anonymous project before imploring us to refrain from figuring out more. Further investigation into a Tumblr account attached to their page, however (yes, we cared to figure out more information), clues us into the fact that the late Nick Drake, a revered folk artist from the '70’s, is an artistic inspiration, and yet, we’ve been unable to pick up on the sonic connection between his work and the one here in front of us (not that that matters too much). There is plenty to be said about the track itself, of course (why else would've we posted it?), and it seems to be a perfect match for those of us buried beneath the winter months. The dreamy overtone that leads it off is simply great, and together with the following vocals provided by Conner Youngblood, the overall feel is one that’s as chilled as it is groundbreaking. The mystical- aura that’s from the work follows the theme of the details surrounding it, giving us an eyebrow-raising as we wait for what’s next from the shrouded act or artist.
