It was April, the warmth of the fledgling summer sun first began lapping at our winter skin, and we had the perfect companion to welcome the incoming season with the debut release, “Never Going Home”, by Hazel English. It was the move from her native Australia to Oakland, California that formed the basis of the single, and it was a beautifully wistful display that showed immense promise within it. Now, with the release of her second single, “It’s Not Real”, Hazel has proven that her initial effort was no fluke, and, while infused with the same dream-like vitality as her debut, the latest track has added further energy in her invasion to take over our stereos. If it's indicative of the quality of her upcoming debut EP, then we're in for something great.
