Havvks is a New Zealand-based producer whom we know very little about, and from the looks of his enigmatic internet presence so far, we'd suggest that we're not alone in that regard. However, once people hear tracks "Revival" and "Dust", two standout tracks from his SoundCloud page, there will no doubt be people interested in his sound. Ryan Hobbs' (Havvks) production attracts primarily because of its lack of overwhelming electronic elements (we're referring mainly to the two tracks we're sharing here), and while the characteristic is admittedly not that revolutionary at all, it's just refreshing to hear him adhere to the less-is-more approach. His epic-sounding samples, hard-hitting hip-hop drums, and inclusion of calming sounds all speak appropriately for themselves, and they engender a cinematic edge that we foresee ourselves coming back to more than a couple of times.
