HΛNΛH only has one official release out right now, but her voice is one of those that can really carry a track, so we've been happily putting "Out Of Touch" on rotation as we've waited for new music of hers to materialize. Well, a new single of hers is finally here, and "Hideaway" (the single) is every bit the smoldering slow-jam we had hoped for. Her music is right on point within, and she's doing a great job of making sure her sound stays on brand while still keeping fresh. The song starts out in much the same tempo as her first single, but this time around, the intro is a lot more piano-centric, with vocals coming through crystal clear over the minimally layered sonic backdrop. Give it some time, and HΛNΛH adds in more textures to fill out the sonic crevices, but right when you think it's going to get big, she settles back into a mellow, piano-driven melody, and her vocals chords once again are front and center. It's a winning formula, and it's one that we think will definitely propel her forward as she continues to grow as an artist.
