It's hard for us to believe that it's been nearly two years since we first laid ears on HAERTS, the New York-based electro-pop group that's accumulated enormous buzz with the release of their widely acclaimed debut EP, Hemiplegia. Their blend of goosebump-inducing electronic production and mature vocals have captivated hundreds of thousands of ears thus far, and they've only officially released five songs, so surely, some sort of stardom looms for the group. With a future as bight as Polaris, and an album in the works, HAERTS is definitely set to have a massive upcoming year, and that was hinted at five months ago with their lone release, "Call My Name". We don't have any specific information about an album yet, unfortunately, but don't get too discouraged, because the brand-new single that they've just released might be the most incredible effort of theirs so far. "Giving Up" begins with a shimmering set of synths that fire off alongside a celestial soundscape, and they pave the way for Nini Fabi's influential vocals to run atop them. A steady beat keeps the heart of the track pumping strong, and once its euphonic chorus hits, it's really game over, because you'll be hopelessly immersed in sonic ecstasy at that point in the track. HAERTS has triumphantly ventured into the sweet spot of electronic-pop—the blissful realm that so many artists hover around and infrequently hit—but the group has here with their latest, and, as a result, we've been utterly awestruck. Definitely keep on the lookout for new music from the members going forward, because we've no doubt that they've big things on the back of this single of theirs. HAERTS' forthcoming self-titled album will be released on October 28th. You can purchase "Giving Up" via iTunes.
