You couldn't of lived in the late nineties listening to obscure hip-hop in the post Napster era (remember Audiogalaxy?) without coming across the Guerilla Maab. This 3 piece rap group from Houston were fast flowing rappers who would rap about pimping, selling drugs, cars, hood life and all things gangster. They were headed by the Houston rapping legends Z-Ro, Trae & Dougie D. The first introduction for me was their classic "Rise". Apparently when one of my friends was listening to this song in his car, he started to cry because he thought the song was that good. True story. This song in 2012 is obviously not going to make you cry but it is definitely a underground classic that people in Houston who grew up in the nineties will definitely attest to.
