New Zealand artist Groeni has been around making music for over two years now (check out more of his previously released music HERE), gradually dropping tracks you could only accurately call as "art", and slowly evolving his sound into one that emits scintillating vibes throughout, as his latest cut, “Fray”, thoroughly exemplifies. With a sophomore EP of his, Hewn, set to release on Project Mooncircle late this February, too, the Wellington-based talent will no doubt create a buzz for slow-moving, unearthly electronic fans out there. From the exquisite vocal poignance to the unhurried, dark-lit cadence, Alexander Green (Groeni) exposes all branches of his sonic talent on the piece. Employing spacey chord progressions and silky smooth percussion aids the vocals further and bolsters Groeni’s sound as a whole, in fact givving us more than one reason to pre-order his upcoming project.
