Grimes is back with a new track, and it appears that she's well on her way to solidifying her status as experimental pop's new obsession. She's made waves thus far not only as a musician, but as a individual who doesn't really fit in one particular box, and her penchant for avant-garde production styles mixed with pop sensibilities has landed her a massive following amongst those who are always on the lookout for something fresh and different. "Go" is the name of her latest affair (featuring production from Blood Diamonds), and while it's a bit different than some of her other stuff, it's still very much a Grimes track in that it keeps you guessing while still being intensely enjoyable to listen to. It's got a beat that hit's a lot harder than you might expect, but it's been balanced well with sections that put Grimes' awesome voice front and center, and the ebb and flow of the harsher dance music makes the track interesting and engaging to listen to. As always with Grimes, this track is already blowing up quick, so expect to be hearing a lot more of it in the immediate future, but also be on the lookout for more stuff from her upcoming, too.
