Gorgon City accounts for half of the original track interpreted here, but MNEK is the artist we're more concerned with, seeing that it's his vocals taken most into account on this particular effort. The individual is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter and producer hailing from London, and his high-reaching R&B chops are a thing of beauty, period (which is why we want to focus a bit more on him). He's been backed by an increasing fanbase and some superb support throughout his ascent into artistic stardom, having signed to EMI/Virigin UK, and is on the verge of becoming a household name in countries other than his own. Today, however, we've a bootleg of his "Ready For You Love" assisted-single to share, compliments of Bearcubs, and we think it does the vocalist a whole lot of justice. The second-mentioned London-native has implemented a pulsing background beat, staticky synths, and a super-cool sample of ping pong balls alongside MNEK's soaring voice, turning his edition of the track into a beautiful indie-electronic-R&B ballad, fitting the mood of this hallmark holiday especially well.
