Gordie is still only scratching the surface of her prospective career as a musician, but, already, she's got music that seems like she's seen her share of trials and triumphs. Her songs are happy and upbeat, but there are threads of wisdom in her writing, too, and the music itself has a tinge of melancholy to it that deepens the experience past your standard variety of indie-folk. "Can We Work It Out" has a beautiful chorus to it, that, when matched by booming percussion, brings a level of size and scope to the track not easily replicated by her contemporaries. The song is extremely easy to listen to and get excited about, and it will surely slide in to any playlist designed around uplifting tracks. The acoustic guitar work rounds out the composition, and with Gordi's voice doing its thing, there's no reason to think that track won't be able to blow up.
