This is the first release from Good Girl & The Bad Times, but their music draws upon decades of good music for inspiration, and their sound has a certain antiquity to it that really rounds out the modern elements of their production style. It’s crisp, but it still has that warm and fuzzy edge to it that most new songs just don’t have, almost like it was recorded on vintage gear. “Cute When I Cry” is a great way for Good Girl & The Bad Times to start their musical career, and it’s definitely going to be winning them some fans in the near future.
