"Tell Me" is the lead-off track on Golden Features' self-titled debut EP, but this producer is already sounding like somebody we're going to have to keep our eye on in the years to come. The song definitely bears some resemblance to something you might hear on a minimalist house track, but Golden Features transitions away from the repetition right when things are in danger of getting too monotonous, and injects some much appreciated creativity here and there to keep you on your toes. What really sets this one apart, though, is the vocal work that floats its way across the synth notes and rolling percussion. Golden Features seems to have a knack for pairing up the correct textures with the right voice, and this track is the perfect example of how he was able to make that happen. The singer is uncredited, but word on the street is that it's Hillydilly-favorite, Nicole Millar, and judging by some of the notes that this mysterious singer hits, we're willing to bet that that's the case.
