I'd understand the dismay one might have with the elongated buildup on Party Time's remix of Gold Panda's "Reprise" production, but I'd be remiss to say that it isn't necessary. The original's the same methodical expansion of sound, anyway, and for well-to-do sonic intents and purposes; the swelling synths need time to manifest themselves into the more downtempo and dynamic ones that follow. Party Time's take on the original follows much the same trend as Gold Panda's own effort, with the exception of what comes after the suspenseful sonic ascent to the climax of the track. The same aggrandizing synths kick the affair into motion, though the hats existing beforehand are exchanged for an incredibly nostalgic sampling of what sounds like kids at play. Afterwards, the track delves into a repetition of banging house vibes, and the previously absent hats couple with pulsating bass and tropical, ballooning synths to produce an enticing, danceable atmosphere.
