Earlier last year, we became enamoured with the previous releases from GodWolf, the electronic duo of Joe Kosky and Tom Armstrong who hail from Melbourne, Australia. After the promise of new material and an upcoming EP, though, we were left out in the cold with only a couple of remixes to keep us through the long winter months. All is forgiven, however, as GodWolf returns with an incredible new single in "So Much More Than Me". The release acts as an ode to a relationship lost, one devoid of the knee-jerk emotional reactions that ordinarily occur post-breakup. The layered percussion elements and delicate synth arrangements on the track paint a lush electronic vista that aptly echoes the thematic anchor, turning it all into an effort deserving of comparison to other Australian greats in the genre such as Hayden Calnin and Oliver Tank.
