We've been seeing some rumblings in the blog community about people not being diverse enough with their offerings, and to an extent, we can see where those frustrations are coming from. A lot of music outlets are copying and pasting material with impressive quickness and ignorance regarding said material's origin(s), and an overall (and highly understandable) sense of staleness and agitation is coming about as a result. We always strive here at Hillydilly to cover new and exciting sounds for you all to enjoy—linking back to other outlets when appropriate—but regardless of all that, we think we've a nice bit of electronic excitement to share with new track "Growing Pains" from new Brisbane electronic artist GLYPHS. The track starts out pretty intriguingly with a smorgasbord of elements, and about a half-minute in, it shapes up more solidly as an eclectic bit of electronic with a nice and easy pace. GLYPHS' sonic dynamism shows throughout, however, as he constantly adds, subtracts, and blends samples and synth chords, percussion and saxophone into the mix. We're especially captivated by the aforementioned and late Kid Atlaas-like brass that's included around 2:30 (Kid Atlaas was a producer we had before featured on the site, and has sadly since passed away), but the whole effort really cries dynamic and charismatic and we love it for that fact.
