Hazey

British indie-rock group Glass Animals has just released their brand-new video for their next single "Hazey," off of their sublime and superb debut album, ZABA, and for fans of music videos done right, you're going to love this one. Set outside on a sometimes overcast, sometimes sunny day, the video maintains cool tones throughout. Starting slowly at first, the camera speeds fluctuate as multiple dancers come into frame individually, performing various types of modern dance including a bit of the contortionist variety. During the haunting musical break after each chorus, too, there is a cut to a human web of the dancers, and their intertwined bodies see themselves get rained upon—echoing the mess of emotions described throughout the track. It's stunning to see (and hear), and it serves as a gorgeous, gloomy interpretation of the track's stark melancholy. "Hazey" is slated to be released as a single on October 13th through Wolf Tone / Caroline International, and, if you haven't already, make sure to read our review on ZABA (the album from which "Hazey" is a part), and, too, to scoop the album up as soon as you can, because we really think it's of the best this year's had to offer. Also, if you're in, or going to be in the Vancouver, Canada, area on September 29th, make sure to check them out at The Biltmore Cabaret— it's our show!
