Catching even a glimpse of fresh Glass Animals work gets us instantly thrilled, and though we've been basking in their past efforts over the past year, they've picked up where they left off today with a fused cover of two classic talents in the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Erykah Badu. The UK four-piece has released the piece prior to a performance at the Central Park SummerStage in New York, claiming that, because of the exciting time, they've decided to "take a song from a New York band that we love, and then Glass Animalsify it". The description is certainly fitting for what they've done here, as Dave Bayley heads the vocal front, casting his effortless flow alongside the rest's extemporarily styled instrumentation. With the piece, it's pretty safe to say that the four are back at what they're doing best: creating arguably the most scintillating, electronic-led alternative around.
