About four months ago, Poland-born and Holland-raised artist Gia Koka released her enticing debut single, "FCUKU", and with the song, she managed to become the primary focus of our attention by coupling mind-boggling creativity with respectable dexterity. When a new artist pops up so suddenly, though, we never really know how long it will be until we hear from them again (if we ever do). Now, though, Gia is back with a second single, "Cold Shower", and it's giving us a feeling that she'll be revisiting the Hillydilly pages many more times to come. If you get caught off-guard by the strangely altered vocals at the beginning of the track, you're not alone; we had to adjust our ears to the sound a bit also, but once we did, we absolutely fell in love with Gia's new sound presented here. Her unique blend of synth-laden, percussion-fueled R&B is simply captivating, and her smooth vocals make the effort downright spectacular. We know that artists can occasionally get lucky and hit a cool sound with their debut single, but Gia's now established that there's really no luck involved with her art, so be sure you keep an ear out for her upcoming EP as it looks to be a pretty fantastic one.
