When two invigorating lyricists like Ghostface Killah and Danny Brown join forces, your instinctive reaction is one that consists of eternal elation, and this is unquestionably the case with "Six Degrees". With BadBadNotGood (a Toronto-based jazz trio) on the beat, Ironman’s (Killah) first verse is ever-poignant, and yet, he manages to utter it in a downright igneous fashion, reinforcing his title as one of the more “beastly" MCs to date. Danny Brown makes his way into the cartooned backdrop, also, and spits a one-minute slaughtering of a verse, complete with hysterical references and shrewd rhymes, giving the piece all the more liveliness it needs. Let’s not sleep on the slick, sinister production of the piece, either, with the trio employing a snaky feel throughout, inducing a vibe you would expect from a villainous role in an animated movie. The final verse is a short one, but Ghost delivers it in crisp fashion, wrapping the effort up in admirable fashion.
