I've always had a sort of apathetic attitude towards our youth, despite being a part of it, kind of. My faith in its future prospects has been all but abandoned due to a variety of factors, but there are some things I'm able to cling to with any semblance of hope, and music is one of them. So perhaps that is why I get so overly excited when I happen to come across young artists or producers such as the UK's GHADIMI. The dude's not even a legal adult in some countries, and yet he's already busting out the kind of extraordinary beats you'd expect from an artist several years deep in his or her respective craft. His latest track "Impulses" exemplifes this fact, utilizing myriad synths and hard-hitting percussion to convey an experimental, energized sound that smashes through generic boundaries. There's absolutely no strand of monotony to be found in the effort, either, which is a fact equally impressive. It's solid through and through, and we'd like to believe that it's a sign of his coming into the ranks of the production elite, already.
