One thing’s for sure and that is we know you’re not going to hear another album like this one all month, or even all year? Whatever it is, you’re about to see our point. Garmisch are a collective of artists/instrumentalists from Malmö, Sweden who have only released two EP’s previous to Fishes. Even though this band may seem like it’s living in the dark ages with a very-small net presence, their music begs to differ. Pin-pointing Garmisch to one genre is really not possible on Fishes. From the downtempo female vocalist led, “Native Sun”, to the jungle-percussion instrumental ,”Sole (Fire & Ice)” & the synth happy, “City Sounds”, you really don’t know what’s going on. Not knowing where each song is going to go next is probably the best part of this album and we think you will agree with us on that. Make sure you listen to all of “City Sounds” because eventually that female singer comes in, It’s pretty beautiful. Below are our three favorite tracks from the album.
