Garden City Movement, an Israeli trio, has been gaining a sizable amount of hype ever since they unveiled their debut EP, Entertainment. After appearing onstage with both SOHN and Cults, too, they alluded to their upcoming work with the hypnotic track, "Terracotta", and now, they're back with another effort, "Bengali Cinema", that reveals yet another side of their complex sound. Smooth synths, echoed guitar, and a fast-paced beat constitute the main structure of the work, resulting in a fresh, almost danceable vibe. The vocalist has a back-and-forth conversation with the guitar and synths, each of which take their respective turns in prominence, but this doesn't stay the case, because all three elements coalesce to form an absolutely captivating chorus lining the track. Be sure to keep an eye out for Garden City Movement's upcoming EP, Bengali Cinema, being released through BLDG5 Records on June 23rd.
