There isn’t much we can tell you about new artist G.Smith, but, as with most who prefer their introductions to be on the more cryptic side of things, the music is all the initiation we need. With her social media accounts containing little more than a few fragmented mirror ball portraits, the only music we have comes from her official website that contains a singular, yet particularly incredible cover of Radiohead’s “All I Need”. Now, we are treated to G.Smith’s debut track, “Life Out”, and it does not disappoint. The vocals are considered, yet emphatic, and the electronic production behind is beautifully textured with a series of intricate subtleties—a dream for those who appreciate an exquisite composition. Be absolutely sure to listen to this one with your best set of headphones, and be on the lookout for more material from her as well.
