"In Waves" is another new track that Fyfe is releasing in anticipation of his debut album this coming week, and this one is going to be a serious hit. It's as downtempo as they get, and the piano-driven production work is extremely subdued, but there are spurts of energy that he sneaks in at certain points of the song that'll have you hooked. It's been crafted without the aid of a radio-friendly structure, but the track is no less memorable because of it. In fact, we would say that it's probably even more impactful when Fyfe puts together music that doesn't do what you expect, but wows you nonetheless. Fyfe's vocal work is superb as per usual on the track, so there's that added element of quality that you're getting with any one of his releases, but "In Waves" has a certain subtle strength to it—like the ebb and flow of the tides—that will slowly chip away at whatever reservations you previously held about this very talented UK artist.
