Solace

It’s been about two years since Paul Dixon (Fyfe) started his musical project we now know and love. He was no stranger to the world of music when it was born, mind you, so it was no surprise that his sounds instantly found favor in the ears of music junkies and critics alike, but now with an EP and a handful of singles under his belt, his debut album here is going to solidify his status as one of the premiere names in today’s pop music ecosystem. This album is going to be very influential, make no doubt about it, and with hits like "Solace" and “St. Tropez” on the tracklist, there’s no doubting its level of quality. Previously released tracks like “Keep It Together” and the album’s namesake, “Control”, stack up well against the new efforts we're highlighting here, and they collectively make the project an extremely strong one drawing on a variety of sonic threads. It's got the type of variety that every music lover yearns for in a full-length work. There’s so much depth throughout Control that we could go on for quite a while picking apart the details, but since it’s the music that should take the center stage, we’re going to stop describing the material and just let you hit play and soak it all in for yourself. The body of tracks that Fyfe has put together is truly astonishing, and so if you're looking for something to add to your favorite HD playlist or are just looking for music to freshen up your catalog, then his album is one you'd be foolish to look past. Stream Control on Fyfe's SoundCloud page, and purchase it on iTunes when you're done.
