This track's got French-inspired house production and back-to-basics rap, and if you think that those two genres would never work together, than guess again, because the VECT remix of "Whut It Iz" is pure magic. Right from the start your ears are greeted with the most beautiful combination of piano notes and garbled vocals, but it's only when the bassline finally kicks in that you realize the depth of talent you're dealing with here. It's not indie, it's not EDM, and it's definitely not pop, but no matter your taste in music, you'd be hard-pressed to explain why this track's composition and creative vision aren't some of the most refined out there right now. It's got just the right amount of bounce, but not once during the entire runtime is there a sense that VECT sacrificed any of the track's subtle complexity for entertainment value.
