Don’t be fooled by the moniker of obscure 22-year-old and Denver-inhabitant, Mac Welch, who assumes the name, Frugal Father, on his artistic endeavors. He does not have kids (as his name may suggest), but what he does have is a flawlessly laid-back indie vibe on "Threat To Narrative" that has the ability to take over every facet of your being. Within the first 30 seconds of the track, you're put into a state of trance due to the drums' downtempo nature, and symphonic synths factor in also to create an exquisite melody that will have the song etched in your head for days. In wake of the song’s left-field beat, reverberated vocals, and evocative lyrics, the eclectic sounds he puts together do nothing but nourish the souls that experience them, and for that, we thank Frugal Father dearly.
