Mark Zito (Fractures) appeased fans worldwide when he finally released his long-awaited self-titled EP. The release was comprised of a flawless collection of songs showcasing Fractures’ talent for crafting beautifully emotive songwriting. One of the songs on the EP, “It’s Alright”, was particularly haunting and sparse single, and we're joyed to bring you its accompanying video as a premiere today. The video for “It’s Alright” features an elderly man wistfully exploring the abandoned buildings of Pripyat, a Ukrainian city that was evacuated after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The desolate expanse of the city, exiled from fallout, is wonderfully complimentary to Zito’s stark composition. Australian director and cinematographer, Matthew Chuang, carefully captures each shot as the elderly man interacts mournfully with the abandoned wasteland before ultimately breaking down in tears looking at photos of loved ones as Fractures softly repeats “It’s alright”. It's all very charged and visually stunning, the video is, and it serves perfectly as a poignant accompaniment to Fractures' own delicate single. Catch Fractures in your city this Fall.
