The last time we heard from Australian producer FØRD was when he paired up with fellow Australian Xavier Dunn for "Folding Hills", an excellent electronic-pop song we were lucky enough to premiere. He's put out a few tracks since that we unfortunately passed on, but, today, he's releasing another brand-new track we like, "Oblivion". With a vocal assist from "mysterious" singer Rya Park, 18-year-old FØRD's song here is able to take on an extremely modern edge. It's all the hallmarks of a successful song, and it's enough electronic nuances in it to really please fans of both genres. As that kind of blurring is the way of the future, too, this song should be well primed to lead the charge. "Oblivion" is the second song released on CloudKid Records, and, in addition to being streamed below, is available on Spotify and iTunes now. (Also, catch the video for it below.)
