When producers refrain from experimenting and quite blindly follow sonic trends when crafting new electronic music, it's almost too transparent for avid listeners of the genre, but that fact certainly does not apply to flybear, who's got another piece out today that's well ahead of it's time entitled "Soon...". The 20-year-old talent last displayed his sonic expertise on his complete overhaul of James Blake's "The Wilhelm Scream", but today, he's hoisting his inventive production wing, and there's absolutely nothing to dislike here. From his punchy, offbeat drums, to his remarkable self-recorded samples, the track melds together impressively, creating an atmosphere that should bring in several new supporters of his work. "Soon..." comes from flybear's upcoming debut EP, Night Hike, that'll be out through Big Beat White Label (Atlantic).
