The past year was a colossal one for Ekali, and he seems here to have picked up exactly where he left off with a take on one of the hottest tracks of the young year, Flume's "Smoke & Retribution". The reworking is the kind you'd expect from the producer given his recent remixes of tracks, and here, he adds his distinct trap flavor while being ever-careful with the original deliveries within. Horn-filled hooks complement Staples' flow, and mellowed chord progressions aid KUČKA's vocals as well, but Ekali makes sure to inject enough new energy in to have us majorly intrigued.
