We're never quite sure what direction Flume's headed when he puts out new material, but it's a journey we've come to embrace, as it's one that breaks several self-created sonic boundaries and results in sharply produced works like his latest with KUČKA, "Hyperreal". The track's a bonus installation from his recent Skin Companion II EP, and, on it, he and KUČKA balance pulsating tempos, left-field synths, and evocative deliveries to produce absorbing appeal (again).
