This is some of the best laid-back pop we've heard in quite some time. It's got everything we've come to expect from the kind of technically sound tracks that just keep getting better with every play, and if flor hasn't got their foot in the door yet, they definitely will with "ocean". It's the little things that really set these guys apart, and if you ever wondered what it took to make music that can stand the test of time, just ask these guys, because it seems they've landed a signature sound that will not only age well, but be able to weather ever-changing tastes in music by the fans, too. Maybe it's just the attention to detail, but everything in "ocean" seems to ebb and flow with as fluid a motion as its namesake, and the vocals deliver a peaceful backdrop that never tries to grab your ears, but never really lets go either. Deftly delivered notes and a confidence that lets the music take center stage result, and it should all be enough to make you want to stay tuned for more from them in the future.
