With her forthcoming album, LP1, out via Young Turks in just 2 weeks (August 12), FKA has decided to premiere yet another single from the record, "Pendulum", earlier today on Zane Lowe's Hottest Records (BBC Radio 1), and, as to be expected, it's great. Uneasy flutters are tied into a knot of throbbing synths, and lucid vocals lay over a distorted drum and R&B backing—all driving your attention into a reverie of both airy pleas and sexual supremacy that later come clashing together. We're elated to have someone like FKA twigs fresh on the scene filling a distinct void in the current pop and alt-R&B status quo, and with all her material released up to this point, we're gushing over what brilliance we expect to find on the upcoming album.
