When we're hunting for music, we're typically looking for something that's at most a week or two old. With that said, though, we sometimes encounter music that's a bit older than that, including this gem here that we just can't help spreading to all of you. The track is called "Chi Glow", coming from the epicenter of the current musical renaissance, Sydney, Australia, and while Fishing released it four months ago, right now is actually a pretty great time to talk about it, because their album is set to be released on June 6th. It took us only one listen to become entirely obsessed with the track, and the more that we listen, the larger our obsession grows. There's just something special about the combination of smooth synths, modest percussion, and the stunning main melody that forces us to click replay again and again. The vocals are used about as well as we could ask for, meshing in with the rest of the song and adding a fresh hip-hop element to the track, and, after the chopped up verses, the song branches off into a harmonic haze of multiple electronic layers and distorted vocal echoes, both of which collaborate to form an absolutely lustrous moment of ecstasy. So if there's anything you should take away from this post, it's the fact that when we post a track a couple months old, there's no doubt that it's gonna be exceptionally good.
