It's only every so often that a track comes along that's good enough on first encounter, and somehow gets better and better the more you hit the replay button. It's the way the song is able to replicate the magic of that first listen, and then hit you with that over and over again that really makes it something memorable. The Brighton-based band, Fickle Friends, have just dropped one of these gems on us in the form of "S W I M", and to top it all off, it's their first official single as a band. The song is pure summer, and despite that fact that all the common tricks of the pop-music trade are present and accounted for, the music doesn't sound the least bit insincere or artificially fabricated. Natassja Shine's vocals are as crisp and bright as they come, and if the beat doesn't brighten your day up even by a tiny amount, then we don't know what will.
