Fickle Friends — For You

Fickle Friends

For You

Fickle Friends has been riding off the massive success of their initial single, "S W I M", but when a band strikes it that rich so early on in their careers, it can be tough to replicate the success on the follow-up releases. So far, Fickle has managed to beat those odds, though, because their second single did very well also, and this latest track, "FOR YOU", is just as strong as its predecessors. The music portrayed on the track is still very much in Fickle Friends' indie-pop wheelhouse, but as always with their stuff, it's superbly executed, and has a replay-ability factor that's off the charts. The song is primarily guitar-driven, but the distortion levels and reverb have been perfectly balanced to sync up splendidly with Natassja Shiner's crisp vocals, lending an ever-quality tone to the overall atmosphere. The '80s synth-pop vibes, too, have been deftly put in with a more modern take on indie-rock in mind, and the finished product is a sound to behold. Fickle Friends crashed onto the music scene a while back with a great track, but it's looking more and more like they've got bigger things in store. Their EP should be coming out soon as well, and we have it on good authority that their unreleased work is pretty fantastic. Certainly make sure you keep these guys locked on your radar, because this is just the beginning for the Brighton-based band.
