Africa is such an untapped geographical source when it comes to good music. We've, ourselves, heard plenty of South African acts gain rightful exposure worldwide, but as far as the other countries within the continent go, they've been considerably less prolific. We have a good feeling that's going to change, though, as it becomes easier for music blogs and SoundCloud accounts to expose the gems of the land, because as we are finding out with singer-songwriter Fena Gitu from Nairobi, we have ourselves a talent that's worthy of international attention. "Jabulani" is a track that's taken from her debut album, Fenamenon, (it was just released September 10th), and it should serve as a great introduction to her music. Leading off the track with a line of Drake's, Fena quickly settles into her fast-flowing, thick-with-soul vocals that shimmy between dancehall and even rapping cadences. We're definitely impressed, and we know a track like this one will be creating some new fans of the singer's.
