Fantastic Fantastic is one of those duos that’s cemented a prestigious standing here at HD, and while they're only three releases into their career, they’ve shown us their exquisite take on pop which is divergent from the norm in a way which we just can’t seem to get enough of. The latest stop on their sonic journey is “The Night”, a track that begins right away with powerful chords that prove how the duo has found a way to inject sounds into their tracks that are far less commonplace than the average effort—and often considerably more captivating. “The Night” locates a happy medium between pounding electronic and raspy, ethereal vibes while laying down a sound that’s as crisp as ever, and although the accompanying vocals take a delayed start, this allows their synths to set the stage before the track so nicely conglomerates. We’re finding out more and more about the genre-popping tangent that Fantastic Fantastic has been embarking on lately, and with "The Night" as the latest piece dropped on their path, we’re wholly hoping the trend isn’t one to wane whatsoever.
