Fantastic Fantastic has put out some great songs in the past, but with "Never Enough", it's apparent that they've really hit their stride when it comes to crafting pop songs with an old-school '80s vibe and beat that compliments the slick vocals to perfection. The song isn't exactly the hardest-hitting piece of pop there is, and they keep the composition flowing at a pretty steady pace from start to finish, so you're not going to get a lot of the big sonic transitions that we're hearing a lot lately. However, that doesn't matter much, because the real magic in the track is the relentless ebb and flow of synths, beats, and basslines that weave in and out of the foreground. They've all been perfectly balanced, and there isn't a point in the song where you feel Fantastic Fantastic has dropped that ball or let the track get to stale. The vocals fill out the piece with clever sampling and a well-executed chorus, but once again, it's all about Fantastic Fantastic's knack for blending it into the rest of the song with such ease. With every element working in wonderful concert, the song is over before you know it, and you're ready to hit the replay button again and again. This is no new phenomenon, as we've covered Fantastic Fantastic's marvelous material before, but this particular track of theirs is a high point for the duo, and it's got us especially excited to see what they can cook up next.
