We first stumbled upon Face+Heel over a year ago through their track, "Amp Drop (Martha's Song)", and while this song definitely caught our attention, the duo really made their way onto our list of favorite upcoming acts with their smooth, silky jam, "My Medyk". Ever since then, we've been heavily anticipating new material from the UK-based act, and today, they've finally graced us with a brand-new offering, "Silver Scratches", and it's absolutely wonderful. The track is introduced in a brilliantly deviant way with its shadowy, intriguing arrangement of vocal bits and heavy thumps. However, the song soon breaks away from this pattern and turns to a synth-fueled, electric-guitar infused, highly percussive sound that's totally fresh and captivating. Luke Taylor, the production half, meticulously crafts a creative, unique instrumental that compliments Sinead McMillan's alluringly soft vocals exceptionally well.
