Though North Korea gets an understandably bad rep in the geopolitical sense, its southern "neighbor", the Republic of Korea (South Korea), is humming along seemingly unobtrusively, and it's nice to see that some relatively rare and quite artistic records are coming from the land. What we've to verify our claim is duo F.W.D.'s "DRINKS", the standout track from their recent Air EP that's available for purchase on Bandcamp, and it's indeed a beautiful effort. The track, as they say, is "airy and sparkling", and the glittering textures they employ throughout really give off this futuristic-sounding tone that still somehow retains roots in nostalgia and sentimentality. It's a lovely amalgamation, and we're just fans in general of how well the appearing vocals and production blend. It seems F.W.D. really took their time with the project (the other efforts are pretty good [just not as good as "DRINKS", in our opinion]), and what we've below indicates that fact to a tee. Revel within it, therefore, and perhaps keep up with the two through Magic Strawberry Sound (their accompanying label for the release by the looks of it) if you've the social media fortitude (their information is scattered).
