Nashville, Tennessee isn't anywhere near the first place we think of when it comes to indie-pop, but over the past two months, we've seen the emergence of two great new artists within the genre: EZA and REMMI. If this trend continues, we might have to revoke our original statement about the city, because today we've a new song from the first individual, "Headlights", and it's further establishing her as an artist to keep high on all of our radars. What "Headlights" is is a quintessential work of creative, female-led electro-pop, and though EZA's high-pitched croon is absolutely delightful, the production from Aaron Krause is equally astounding. The electronic nuances, percussive variance, and morphing filters are polished to perfection, so hats off to the one responsible for the song's instrumental, as well as to EZA herself. After hearing the track, we're completely sure she's the talent necessary to gain some serious hype, and we can't wait to hear what she brings to the table next with an increasingly critical ear.
