It seems that there’s been a significant influx of brassy, synth-driven electronic this year, and now we get to see some more with Queensland producer Ex Ex Revenge's new single “Do What You Gotta Do.” The solo act is spearheaded by the frontman of Brisbane punk-rock group The Ninjas, and, with his endeavor here, he seems to have paved his own appealing, electronic-oriented path. “Do What You Gotta Do” is of a more trippy nature, using those aforementioned brassy synth textures and running percussion to bring the track to an impressive peak level. He’s brought in Elliot Heinrich of Archdukes for a soulful slate of vocals, too, giving the effort all the tools it needs to find success in the electronic world.
